To ensure the efficient working efficiency of aluminum profiles, it is important to pay attention to some installation precautions when installing aluminum profile radiators.
1. To ensure good contact between the power component and the radiator, it is advisable to avoid using insulating pads as much as possible, and to ensure that the contact surface between the power component and the radiator is flat and smooth. Since it is difficult for the outer shell of the power component to tightly fit with the radiator, there will always be invisible air gaps, so silicone grease should be applied between the contact surfaces to improve contact effectiveness and facilitate heat dissipation.
2. When insulation is required between the outer shell of the power component and the radiator, insulating pads should be added, but the thickness of the insulating pad must be between 0.08 and 0.12 mm.
3. The power component should be secured to the center of the radiator using spring washers and screws.
4. To increase the thermal radiation capacity of the radiator, it is generally treated with coloring, and this high-radiation coating should not be damaged during installation.
5. The radiator should preferably be installed vertically and should not be too close to other components to facilitate air convection, especially avoiding proximity to heat-generating and heat-sensitive components.
6. The radiator should be installed as much as possible outside the casing. When the radiator is installed inside the casing, sufficient ventilation holes should be opened on the casing near the radiator, and if necessary, a fan should be added for forced convection cooling.
