FAQ
Q
What are the advantages of stir friction welding radiators?
A
The advantages of the friction stir welding radiator are as follows:
(1) It achieves the production of high-multiplicity ultra-wide body and large-sized radiator structures, solving the technical bottleneck of profile radiators;
(2) Friction welding is a medium-free thermal fusion, equivalent to the one-time extrusion forming of profiles, achieving a 100% thermal conductivity rate of the original material;
(3) Lower development costs;
(4) Shorter development cycle;
(5) The friction stir welding radiator has high stability and is easy to maintain.
Q
What is the working principle of a heat pipe cooler?
A
The working principle of a heat pipe radiator is as follows: the heat pipe is hollow and contains a substance with a very low boiling point. In a fully sealed vacuum tube, the phase change of the working fluid between gas and liquid is used to transfer heat, exhibiting extremely high thermal conductivity, nearly a hundred times that of pure copper. Due to its high thermal conductivity, it is regarded as a representative of high-end radiators.
There are three types of manufacturing processes for heat pipes: grooved pipes, metal mesh inner wall pipes, and sintered pipes. The materials are generally made of red copper or brass. The heat pipe radiator should be designed according to different design requirements to determine the heat pipe process or material.
Q
What is the maximum height of the fins on a finned radiator in mm?
A
The shovel tooth radiator is produced using the shovel tooth process. Currently, the height of the tooth plates of the shovel tooth radiator can reach up to 130mm according to the production standards of Wenxuan Thermal Energy. The height of the tooth plates is influenced by two factors: one is the limitations of the shovel tooth process and the shovel tooth machine tools; the other is the material of the profile, as the materials required for the shovel tooth radiator are relatively softer. In particular, when the height of the tooth plates reaches a certain level, they are prone to deformation.
Q
Why are the water channels in the water cooling plate designed to be curved?
A
The main function of the water channels in a water cooling plate is to utilize the flow of water to carry away heat. The design is curved because this allows for better contact with the heat source, facilitating faster heat removal. Additionally, from the perspective of temperature uniformity, the curved design helps to maintain a more uniform temperature across the entire water cooling plate, avoiding significant temperature differences.
